Press release: ZoomBIM set for a new course, with new CEO Rob Schilperoort
Today we are happy to announce that Rob Schilperoort was appointed as new CEO of ZoomBIM.
Since 1997, ZoomBIM is a successful web application developer and is now entering the market with its in house developed application platform WEM. The platform enables any subject matter expert with minimal IT skills to quickly develop fully functional multi-platform web applications. For the past two years, Rob Schilperoort has been involved in the company as strategy consultant and investor. With his strong background in business growth strategy as well as IT, ZoomBIM is now set for a new course.
“I’m very happy that Rob accepted my proposal to take over as CEO.” says Harrie Huisman, founder of ZoomBIM. “Our company is doing very well and now with WEM we have a great product to conquer the market on a larger scale. The management team, Elian Ebbing, chief developer and architect, Erwin van Rooijen, operations manager, and I are confident, that Rob is the right person to successfully lead this company to the next level. Considering the company’s current position and working with Rob for the past two years has proven, that him taking over as CEO is a natural and logical step for ZoomBIM. And I can focus on what I enjoy most: Consulting our clients for optimal solutions and further develop and enhance our products.”
Rob is a true inspirator and initiator. He brings strong experience in leading and has been instrumental in transitioning a number of companies to market leaders. Mostly involved as organizational consultant and product manager, he realized strategy successes and rapid market growth for companies such as Dell, HP and Xerox Services. Now, Rob is looking forward to his new role within ZoomBIM: “WEM is an exciting product with enormous potential, it will have a strong impact on the market.” Rob says confidently. “We have a great team of talented people that are eager to grow with the company. Our goal is organizational growth and long-term stability. We focus our investments on product development and on our people. The company’s investors have great confidence in the future and in me. That’s why I decided to make a long-term commitment to the company.”
Rob Schilperoort has been living and working in the United States for 15 years. In 2013 he returned to his home country The Netherlands, together with his family. He has been married for 25 years, has four children and one granddaughter. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar and spending time in his own private “maker space”, working with a vast array of production tools.
