Business-critical applications often rely on data available within an enterprise. Creating applications to manage all this knowledge is often experienced as daunting, Chief Knowledge Officer Rob ten Kroode explained in last week’s blog. More specifically, illustrated in an IDC InfoBrief, commissioned by Alterex, organizations have 3 concerns stopping them to switch from stand-alone spreadsheets: long implementation times, lack of compatibility and high costs.
