The Abs() function returns the absolute value of a specified number.

Syntax

Abs(number)

Returns

The absolute value of number, such that the resulting value is the positive equivalent of number.

Parameters

  • number a numeric value.

Examples

Abs(0)           /* 0 */
Abs(5)           /* 5 */
Abs(-1.5)        /* 1.5 */
