The FormatNumber() function converts a number to text

Syntax

FormatNumber(number, decimals, language)
FormatNumber(number, decimals, grouping, language)

Returns

A new text string that is the text representation of a date.

Parameters

  • number – a number
  • decimals – the number of decimals that are included in the returned text
  • grouping – a boolean that indicates if large numbers are grouped (a separator is used)
  • language(optional) this parameter is used to specify the number representation of that language.

If the language parameter is not specified or contains an unknown value, then the default portal language is used to format the number.

Examples

FormatNumber(15, 2, en_US)
/* returns "15.00" */

FormatNumber(15.52837, 2, nl_NL)
/* returns "15,53" */

FormatNumber(15000000, 2, true, en_US)
/* returns "15,000,000.00" */

FormatNumber(1552837, 2,false, nl_NL)
/* returns "1552837,00" */

FormatNumber(1552837, 2, true, nl_NL)
/* returns "155.2837,00" */
