25 January, 2022:

WEM customer Fortierra was recently interviewed by the official Data Register of the Dutch Government (https://data.overheid.nl/en).

The interviewer spoke to Hans Timmerman and Fred Baptist – co-founders of Fortierra about the SaaS application they have developed using the WEM no-code enterprise applications development platform which is called: ‘The National Real Estate Card ‘ (de Nationale Vastgoedpas – in Dutch).

The “National Real Estate Card” is a platform on which both open source data and owner supplied data relating to real estate and the environment are offered. This helps owners, investors and government  perform better maintenance, investment and building decisions as well as to improve the living standards in real estate.

When the interviewer asked Hans Timmerman about the challenges in developing such a large data project – Hans Timmerman said: “The challenge was to re-engineer the first version, which was built together with Baan in 2014 – partly in India – into a modern, flexible Cloud platform. We chose our partner Infinity IT for the cloud infrastructure, which also provides infrastructure services for the government. And we developed the software using WEM’s no-code enterprise applications development platform , which allowed our own data analysts to program most workflows and processes on their own.
